Substitute Teachers Are in High Demand!

With substitute teachers in such high demand across the country, the Ken-Ton School District has positioned itself to be among the most attractive destinations for anyone interested in becoming a substitute teacher.

In Ken-Ton Schools, substitute teachers earn up to $146 per day. All substitute teachers can earn up to $2,000 per year for completing staff development coursework while also being able to join the New York State Retirement System, building credit toward retirement. The district also has full-time Building-Based Substitute positions in each of its schools with a starting salary of $28,000 per year. Building-based substitutes have the added benefit of receiving dental and vision coverage and seven days of paid leave annually.
