Kenmore East Students Earn Top Honors at SUNY Erie Tech Wars

Students from Kenmore East High School proudly represented their school at the largest-ever SUNY Erie Tech Wars competition, held on May 20th. The event drew over 950 students from schools across Western New York, highlighting the region’s growing commitment to STEM education and innovation.

Participants from Robert Uldrich’s AP Computer Science class competed in the prestigious Computer App category. Students Tyler Kent and Miguel Flores earned second place, while teammates Coby Dybas and Josh Banaszak captured third place honors.

SUNY Erie Tech Wars provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate their technical skills, creativity, and teamwork in a variety of STEM-based competitions. Kenmore East continues to be a strong presence at the event, showcasing the district’s commitment to excellence in technology education.

Students who took part included Jonah Schrimmel, Charles Pease, Tyler Kent, Colton Strong, Miguel Flores, Josh Banaszak, Mason Ham-Deveans, Coby Dybas, Julian Lubeski, Joe Guetti, and Isaac Costello.
