1/5/23: Edison Elementary Shelter-in-Place Update

During the school day today, a Shelter In Place was initiated for approximately 45 minutes due to an individual student medical issue. This was done so that the hallways would be clear when paramedics arrived to tend to the student. At no time were any students at risk or in danger in any way. The student is expected to be okay.

Unfortunately, our community has endured a lot over the past several days. Please know that our counselor, social worker and entire staff are prioritizing the social and emotional wellness of our students. All students will continue to be monitored for any needed support. Our students are to be commended for doing an exceptional job following the established Shelter In Place procedures quickly and orderly.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the school.
