Julie Miller, Kenmore East High School Nurse
Julie Miller, Kenmore East High School Nurse
Kenmore East is very happy that Julie is being honored for her exemplary service to our staff and students at Kenmore East. During this challenging school year Julie has been asked to go above and beyond what a school nurse usually has to do, and of course she has always performed her job perfectly without complaint. While student and staff health safety, and welfare are always at the forefront of Julie’s high standards, this year has put her to the test, and she has flourished under trying circumstances. Julie is extremely detail orientated. Theresa Patterson says, “I joke when I refer to her as ‘by the book Julie.’” She never cuts corners and always goes the extra mile as she strives for perfection. Theresa continues, “On a personal note..I feel very fortunate to have been able to go to work every day for the past 8 years and work with someone who has made going to work a great place to be.” Julie embodies compassion, diligence, and forward thinking in the field of health science, and she is the perfect advocate for public health. During the pandemic, she offered training to her assistants at school, performed necessary testing of staff and students, and never missed a beat in the other facets of her job. And she always has a smile on her face! She has a calm and pleasant demeanor, and Kenmore East is fortunate to have her on staff. Congratulations Julie!
