Edison Elementary Donates 25 'Comfort Cases' for Children in Foster Care
Students Olivia Harlach and Lola Norris
Great job to Edison Elementary School students who donated 25 “comfort cases” – bags packed with items for children entering foster care – through a school-wide collection drive.
Bags contain items such as stuffed animals, blankets, T-shirts, pens, crayons, books and more. The inspiration behind the drive was to provide a bag of essential items for children entering foster care, many of whom do so with little more than the clothes on their back, and to show these young people that they are cared for and supported.
Students Olivia Harlach, Lola Norris, Riley Fabian and teacher Jennifer Makin worked to organize the collection at Edison to gather all the necessary components for the bags.
