Shaima Islam, Franklin Elementary School Teacher

There is so much we can say about Shaima Islam. Shaima is an exemplary student who excels in the classroom and beyond. Her kindness and intelligence shine through in everything she does. Known for her positive attitude and ever-present smile, Shaima is always willing to lend a hand to both friends and teachers alike, making her a truly supportive member of our school community. Shaima’s dedication, hard work, and unwavering kindness make her a true friend to all, and her courage to be an upstander exemplifies her strength of character. Shaima also consistently goes above and beyond academically and in her mission to support her peers. As an upstander, she is always helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. She is polite, considerate, and always courteous, with an open-minded approach that makes her eager to try new things. Her hard work, thoughtfulness, and natural leadership make Shaima an inspiration to those around her, and she is truly a joy to have in the classroom. All of this being said, we feel extremely lucky to have Shaima as a student at Franklin Elementary School. We are so proud of you, Shaima —congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
