Cluster Action Initiative Communications:

November 9 Announcement:

On Nov. 9, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced a new strategy to confront increased transmission of COVID-19 in Western New York. Under this plan, much of Erie County, including Ken-Ton, will be designated as a “yellow” zone through the Governor’s Cluster Action Initiative. This designation has an impact on in-person activities, including schools.

Today and tomorrow, Ken-Ton School District staff will discuss and review this information in partnership with other Erie County school districts in the affected area and the Erie County Department of Health. Superintendent Cimato will provide the community with an update at the Tuesday, Nov. 10 Board of Education meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m.

Please note that the Board meeting will now take place via live-streaming (no in-person public participation). You will be able to view the meeting and learn how to participate in the public comment portion of the meeting by visiting www.ktufsd.org/BOELive.

Shortly following the meeting, parents/guardians will receive a link to view the relevant portion of the recording. Additional information and details will be released the following day (Wednesday, Nov. 11).

You can find additional information regarding the Cluster Action Initiative in the October 23 edition of the Ken-Ton Weekly Connection, Superintendent Cimato’s weekly update to the community. Find it here:
