Three Gr. 4 Students Display Ideas at WNY Invention Convention
Three Ken-Ton students proudly represented our school district at the annual Western New York Invention Convention, held March 30th at the Buffalo Museum of Science!
Autumn Collins, a Gr. 4 student at Hoover Elementary, Romesa Mazin, a Gr. 4 student at Hoover Elementary, and Christian Townsend, a Gr. 4 student at Lindbergh Elementary, were three of more than 200 inventors taking part in the local competition. Each created their own physical prototype of an invention of their choice and put it on display for others to check out and judge. Both students are part of the Ken-Ton Gifted & Talented program.
Autumn invented an All-in-One Auto Shower and was awarded a medal in the Gr. 4 Original category. Romesa invented the Instrumental Intertwiner, while Christian invented the Cat-o-Toy.
The WNY Invention Convention is a chance for students to display creativity and solve a problem. It's also a path for the top inventors to advance to the National Competition in Michigan in June.
