Alshuwaili, Robinson named Buffalo Business First All-Stars

Two Ken-Ton students are being recognized by Buffalo Business First and Independent Health as part of the 2nd class of Diversity & Inclusion All-Stars. Kenmore East’s Zaharaa Alshuwaili and Kenmore West’s Tilynn Robinson were chosen by their respective high schools for having an impact in their school and their community by promoting diversity and inclusion.

Alshuwaili is involved in several school activities, including the multicultural club, the book club, and the Leo club, which is a group that does service projects for needy families throughout the community. She’s also a Spanish Academic Achievement Award winner. Outside of school, she’s a mosque instructor.

Robinson is an honor roll and National Honor Society student who helps lead the “Link Crew” at Kenmore West, a group who assists underclassmen in their transition to high school. She’s also the school’s student representative of the Ken-Ton Board of Education and is the founder of the school’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Club.
