Ken-Ton Announces Five New Hires to Administrative Team
The Ken-Ton School District is excited to announce the addition of five new staff members to its Administrative Team. Please join us in welcoming the following individuals to our Ken-Ton Family:
Ashley DiGati, Director of Special Education (Elementary)
Ashley DiGati joins the district as the new Director of Special Education for our elementary students. With several certifications, Digati has been working in special education since 2008 where she’s spent time as a teacher, a long-term substitute, and a unified basketball coach. She was most recently with the Tonawanda City School District where she spent the last year as the Assistant Director of Pupil Personnel Services. Early in her career, she served as a teaching assistant for both Franklin and Edison Elementary Schools.
Edward Strasser, Director of Transportation
Edward Strasser comes to Ken-Ton as our new Director of Transportation, bringing with him 15 years of expertise in service delivery & logistics. Holding seven different certifications, Strasser has been with Jak Construction in Williamsville since 2014, serving as their project manager. He was also with the North Tonawanda City School District from 2019-2022 where he supervised their transportation department.
Kayla Cappuccio, Kenmore West Assistant Principal
Kayla Cappuccio is one of two new assistant principals at Kenmore West High School and has been in the public school system since 2009. She has taught high school mathematics for the past 12 years, most recently from Salamanca City Schools. She began her leadership journey as a BOCES K-12 Math Specialist and continued as a teacher leader as a NYS Master Teacher.
Kelly Lambert, Kenmore West Assistant Principal
Kelly Lambert joins Cappuccio as one of two new assistant principals at Kenmore West High School. Lambert’s administrative and leadership journey began in 2004 and since then, she has spent years working in library instruction and information literacy. She comes from PS 74 Hamlin Park Academy where she was the Interim Assistant Principal.
Laura Pino Wagner, Franklin Middle Assistant Principal
Laura Pino Wagner is the newest member of the Franklin Middle School staff and will serve as the school’s assistant principal. She comes from Veronica E. Connor Middle School on Grand Island where she played an active role as a Spanish teacher and administrative leader. She spent the summer of 2021 serving as the school’s assistant principal and has been heavily involved in alternative academics and mentorship. A former swim captain at Buffalo State College, Wagner has been assisting the Buffalo Seminary swim team since 2009 and has also helped out with their soccer and tennis programs.
