Ken-Ton Welcomes New Administrators

The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District is excited to welcome its new administrators for the 2019-20 school year.

In August, Franklin Elementary School was excited to welcome Kia Evans to the position of Principal. Evans has nine years of experience in school administration, first as an assistant principal in the Williamsville Central School District and then as Principal of Jackson Primary School in the Batavia City School District. She also has 10 years of experience as a social studies teacher.

Franklin Elementary and the Ken-Ton School District had honored and thanked former Principal Pat Kosis for her many years of service to Franklin Elementary as she retired at the end of the 2018-19 school year.

Earlier, in July, Holmes Elementary School was excited to welcome Matthew Raines to the position of Principal. Raines had previously served as an Assistant Principal at Kenmore West High School. He took the place of Interim Principal Fran Paskowitz, who has served in that capacity since former Principal Lisa Cross took on the position of Director of Secondary Education in April.

Taking Raines' place as Assistant Principal at Kenmore West is Brandon Hafner, formerly a science teacher and interim grade-level principal in the Orchard Park Central School District.

Holmes Elementary also welcomed Chrissy Zona, physical education teacher, as its new School Support Specialist. In addition, Danielle Frye, who had previously served as School Support Specialist, was appointed to the position of Assistant Principal of Hoover Elementary School.

Finally, two administrators who had served on an interim basis during the 2018-19 school year were appointed to their respective positions: Michael Muscarella, Interim Director of Elementary Education, was appointed to the position of Director of Elementary Education, and Ann Maccagnano, Interim Principal of Lindbergh Elementary School, was appointed to the position of Principal of Lindbergh Elementary.
