May 15, 2018 Budget Vote & Board of Education Election Voting Results
The 2018 Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Union Free School District Budget Vote and Board of Education Election took place on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Hoover Middle School. Residents of the school district voted on three propositions: the proposed 2018-19 school district budget, the annual bus purchase, and the proposed sale of the Philip Sheridan Building. They also voted for one seat on the Board of Education. Voting results were as follows:
Proposition 1, the 2018-19 school district budget, was approved by voters (yes votes: 1,172; no votes: 377).
Proposition 2, the annual bus purchase, was approved by voters (yes votes: 1,154; no votes: 393).
Proposition 3, the proposed sale of the Philip Sheridan Building, was approved by voters (yes votes: 1,403; no votes: 143).
Andrew Gianni, Board of Education vice president, received 1,310 votes and was elected to a second term on the Board of Education which will begin July 1, 2018 and end June 30, 2021. He ran unopposed.
