  • To Maximize Social Distancing, Parents/Guardians Can Volunteer to Decline Transportation Eligibility

    The Ken-Ton School District is engaging in an effort to further reduce density on our school buses in order to maximize opportunities for social distancing and further safeguard against COVID-19. To facilitate this opportunity, we are providing all parents/guardians of students who are eligible for district-provided transportation the option to voluntarily decline bus transportation.

  • School and District Reopening Plans Available on Website for Download/Viewing

    The most recent published version of the Ken-Ton School District Reopening Plan and links to individual school reopening plans are now posted to the website. These plans will be living documents and will continue to be refined and modified as state-level determinations are made for the reopening of schools, as guidance evolves, and as planning continues to move forward for the 2020-21 school year.

  • Ken-Ton School District School Reopening Survey Results (Parent/Guardian, Staff, Students & Community Surveys)

    In July 2020, the Ken-Ton School District conducted a survey for parents/guardians, staff, students, and community members to provide feedback on the reopening of schools in September. The survey results (including open-ended responses) can be found at www.ktufsd.org/survey. In all, more than 4,100 individuals in the Ken-Ton community took part in the survey.

    On July 28, 2020, the Ken-Ton School District hosted a Virtual Parent Cafe to provide an overview of the reopening survey results and to invite questions from participants. The event was hosted by Frank Spagnolo, Director of Data and Accountability and Chief Information Officer for the Ken-Ton School District.   • Ken-Ton Launches Reopening Survey for Parents/Guardians, Staff, Students & Community Members

    The Ken-Ton School District is conducting an anonymous survey for parents/guardians, staff, students, and community members to provide feedback on the reopening of schools in September. Access the survey at www.ktufsd.org/survey. Survey will close Thursday, July 23. The survey questions were developed by Hanover Research, a research/analytics service provider.

  • All Reopening Documents & Resources Will Be Posted to District Website at ktufsd.org/reopening

    All planning documentation and resources involving the reopening of schools for the 2020-21 school year will be posted to the district website at www.ktufsd.org/reopening. This is where you will be able to find the district's reopening plan, which must be submitted to NYS and posted to the website by July 31. These pages will be frequently updated and expanded throughout the summer and the 2020-21 school year.

  • Ken-Ton UFSD School Reopening Task Force Guides Development of Reopening Plan

    The Ken-Ton UFSD School Re-Opening Task Force convened in early July to establish the structures necessary to complete the work of planning for the 2020-21 school year. This group is composed of district administrators and school building principals with several different sub-committees and school-based teams are focusing on individual areas of district operations, building-level planning, and community engagement.
