Summer Learning Adventures

This program is designed for Ken-Ton School District students who were in Grades UPK-4 during the 2025-2026 school year. That means students entering Kindergarten-Grade 5 this coming school year (2026-27) are eligible to take part.

No! This is a voluntary learning program and is designed to promote literacy and math during the summer months. While voluntary, those who do participate are eligible for weekly prizes. You can take part one day, two days, a week, or each weekday! The amount of days you participate, the better chances of winning one of our weekly prizes.

This series focuses on spending a small amount of time each weekday doing a math and/or literacy activity with both non-digital and digital options available. When you complete a daily activity, head to the Entry Form located on this page. Fill out the required information including the activity your child completed and an uploaded picture of your child doing that activity - whether it be the child working at a table/on their device or smiling with their completed work.

You can submit a form no more than twice each weekday (Monday-Friday): one for an ELA activity and one for a Math activity. Each submitted form is an entry into our weekly drawings; so if your child completes two activities a day, five days a week and you submit a form after each activity, that's 10 entries into our drawing! Any additional forms past the allotted 10 in a given week, will be deleted as you can only submit the form twice per weekday.

No. You can only submit TWO forms per day: one for a Math activity and one for an ELA activity. Any additional forms submitted for a given day will be deleted.

Forms will be accepted Monday-Friday each week starting Wednesday, July 1st. Each Monday, all of the entry forms submitted in the week prior by the Friday evening deadline will be entered into a randomized drawing. We will get ahold of the winner, using the contact information provided in the submission form, and the prize will be available for pick-up at the Ken-Ton Administration Building Monday-Friday from 8am-3pm.

No. The only children eligible to win a prize are the ones who completed an activity/activities the week prior. Once a winner is drawn, entry forms for that prior week will be archived to allow a fresh set of names for the next drawing.

Absolutely! We completely understand that new students to our district, including UPK aged students, don't have accounts set up. This is why we offer both a digital AND non-digital option for both Math and Literacy. If you don't have access to Lexia Core5 Reading or MathFactLab, simply follow the specific grade-level calendar for your two daily activities.

Yes. There are a limited number of devices available for families to provide continued learning support during the summer months that provide access to Lexia, MathFactLab,  and to digital library books. You can fill out a request form here. All device requests MUST be made by June 25th. Please note that completing the form does not guarantee you a device, which is why we do offer non-digital activities should children not have an readily available computer at home.
