Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Program

  • UPK Students

The Ken-Ton School District in partnership with the Ken-Ton Family YMCA is proud to offer the Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Program for children who will be 4 years of age on or before December 1, 2020. UPK is a free program open to all eligible children who reside within the Ken-Ton School District boundaries.

UPK instruction provides students with a strong foundation in critical skills to prepare them for success in kindergarten and beyond.

To be eligible for UPK during the 2020-21 school year which begins Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, children must be 4 years of age on or before December 1, 2020 (a child cannot turn 5 years of age between December 2, 2019, through and including December 1, 2020 to be eligible for UPK).

The traditional classroom-based UPK framework is designed to introduce academics and enhance socialization, physical activity, communication, creative thinking, and prepare your child for kindergarten.
