Frederick Floss

Frederick Floss is in his second year on the Board of Education. For the past 40 years, Dr. Floss has worked at Buffalo State University where he has been intimately involved in matters related to education and budgeting. In his role as economics and finance professor, he works with many Ken-Ton School District graduates to empower them to be successful in college and the workforce. At Buffalo State University, Dr. Floss has served as Executive Director of the Center for Economic Education, which is responsible for educational activities involving schools and students across New York State. Dr. Floss has also served as Executive Director of the New York State Fiscal Policy Institute, which seeks to advance sound and equitable fiscal policy at the state level. In this capacity, he often worked in partnership with the New York State Parent Teacher Association, New York State Council of School Superintendents, and New York State United Teachers on matters involving education funding. Dr. Floss is the father of two Ken-Ton School District graduates.
