Kenmore West Player Standards
The coaching staff has set the following standards for members of the hockey team
- Players will be on time to all practices, games, and meetings unless excused by the head coach. The expectation is all players are ready to go when practice starts wearing proper equipment.
- Players put team success first over their individual success. TEAM FIRST
- Players commit to implementing the coaches’ game plan to the best of their ability.
- Players will practice hard at game tempo and quickly transition from drill to drill.
- Players will listen to the coaches’ directions and ask questions when they need clarification.
- Players should hold their teammates accountable when they fail to meet the team standards. If you see a player not living up to the team standards you should address them privately.
- Players will do the best academically. We strive to be a scholar athlete team. You are a student first, athlete second.
- Players will treat each other with respect on the ice and in the locker room.
- Players will treat officials as well as opponents with respect.
The team is like a wagon, we need everyone pushing the wagon to meet our seasonal goals. WE CAN NOT HAVE PASSAGERS! As they will make it harder for the team to meet their goals.
