Kenmore West's Harlem Brannon scores 1000th point

Harlem Brannon, a senior point guard for the Kenmore West boys basketball team, reached the impressive 1000 point milestone on January 6, 2026.
Harlem is currently 4th on the all-time scoring list at Kenmore West and only the 4th player in the history of the Blue Devils boys basketball program to reach 1000 points. He's the first since 2008 graduate Edvin Ramulic. If Harlem continues a similar scoring average to the 28 points per game that he has averaged through the first eight games of this season, he will be on pace to be the boys basketball program’s all-time leading scorer.
“I didn’t accomplish anything just on my own," Harlem said. "Thank you to my family, all the teammates I have had over the years, the Kenmore West coaching staff, and the faculty, staff, and administrators that continuously support me at school each day to try and help push me to better myself."
Fitting that Harlem scored the 1000th point on a layup after he got a steal, as he is an exceptional defensive player. He is currently first so far this season in all of Section 6 with forty-eight steals, and he already holds the Kenmore West boys basketball record for career steals.
While Harlem’s individual achievements are very impressive, what is most important to him is the overall success of his team. The Blue Devils are 5-3 and looking to improve each day as a team, with the ultimate goal of bringing a Boys Basketball AA Sectional Championship title to Kenmore West.
