Kenmore Girls Flag Football Wins Section Title

The Kenmore girls flag football team, in just its second year as a program, made history on May 23rd by winning the program's first ever Section VI title. The Devil Dogs beat Orchard Park 25-24 at Sweet Home High School, bringing home their first title and avenging last year's loss to the Quakers in the Section VI title game.
"They deserved it," Coach Dan Hannon said after the game in an interview with WNY Athletics. "They worked all summer and the start of the year to keep progressing. I'm very proud."
Samantha Ferreri completed 7-of-11 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for 198 yards and another two scores in the win. Maria Colosimo had a receiving touchdown and an interception.
The Devil Dogs will play Penfield, the Section V winner, on May 27th.
