Artwork by Ken-East Art Teacher Selected for New Bills Stadium

Kenmore East High School art teacher and accomplished local artist Matthew Sagurney has been selected to have his artwork prominently featured at Highmark Stadium when it opens next year.
Mr. Sagurney along with his old friend, Niagara Falls High School art teacher Rob Lynch, form a duo named the Solo Roths who are known for their amazing largescale murals. Their work has been prominently featured in a multitude of venues, everything from live mural painting at art shows and festivals to the 1,600-square-foot Art Park parking lot.
"The Solo Roths are a collaborative duo known for their vibrant, dynamic murals," the Buffalo Bills organization stated in its announcement. "They have been collaborating on artworks since their Buffalo State years in the mid- to late-90s. This creative partnership brings together a unique blend of artistic styles, resulting in visually layered works that embody playfulness and nostalgia. Through their spontaneous and interactive creative process, they craft artworks that showcase their individual talents and teamwork."
Mr. Sagurney and Mr. Lynch were selected through the Buffalo Bills Public Art Program at Highmark Stadium. Through this endeavor, talented artists are being commissioned to create a permanent, site-specific art collection throughout the new stadium. It is a tremendous honor to see one of our own art teachers as part of this initiative. Congratulations!
