2026-27 Budget Information

Election Results:

  • Proposition 1, the proposed 2026-27 school year budget, was approved by voters (yes votes: 973; no votes: 242).
  • Proposition 2, the proposed bus replacement purchase, was approved by voters (yes votes: 941; no votes: 258).
  • Proposition 3, the proposal to rename the Kenmore East baseball field, was approved by voters (yes votes: 1,008; no votes: 175)
  • There are two terms on the Board of Education that will begin July 1st, 2026 and end June 30, 2029th. The seats will go to the candidates who receive the highest number of votes. The candidates who received the highest number of votes were Karen Whitelaw, who received 1,050 votes, and Lee Ann Vogt, who received 1,049 votes. They ran unopposed.

New Election Location for Tuesday, May 19th

The annual Budget Vote & Board of Education Election will take place Tuesday, May 19th. Voting will not take place in the Hoover Middle School gymnasium as in previous years, so the Sheridan Drive entrance will not be able to be utilized for voting. Instead, voting will take place inside the main entrance along Thorncliff Road. Voters may park along Thorncliff Road and enter through the main entrance (Door #1). Voters will be able to utilize the bus loop in front of the school on Thorncliff Road for parking except for when it will be closed off for buses. This will be from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Voting Information

  • Voters must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older, and a resident of the district for 30 days prior to the vote.
  • Those who are not registered to vote will need to complete an affidavit confirming that they are a qualified voter.
  • Photo identification and proof of citizenship, age, and residency are required for those who are not registered.

Absentee Ballot Information:

  • Contact the District Clerk at (716) 874-8400 ext. 20342 for an absentee ballot application.
  • Those on the permanent absentee ballot list do not need to apply for an absentee ballot.
  • Applications must be received no later than seven days prior to May 19, 2026.
  • Absentee ballots must arrive no later than 5 p.m. the day of the vote on May 19, 2026.
