High School Equivalency (GED)
In New York State, students who did not graduate from high school may take the GED exam to earn their High School Equivalency Diploma.
The Ken-Ton School District Adult Education Department offers GED classes at no cost to you. Earning your GED is one of the most important steps you can take — for your career, your family, and your future. Here are five powerful reasons to get started today:

  • Career Prospects: Most employers require a high school diploma or GED. Earning yours opens doors to job opportunities and long-term career growth.
  • Higher Earnings: On average, GED holders earn more than $6,800 per year more than those without a high school credential, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

Classes are offered:
  • Daytime: Monday–Thursday, 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m
  • Evening: Monday and Tuesday, 5:30–8:30 p.m

Hard work pays off — most students earn their GED within a year!

Our program also includes case management services to help you succeed beyond the classroom. Case managers provide resume assistance, job search support, and referrals to community resources and supports.
