Elementary School Music Courses
Grade K-2:
General music class two times each week
Students will participate in the following activities: sing, play classroom instruments, dance, improvise, and compose music
Grade 3:
General music class two times each week
Students will participate in the following activities: play the recorder, sing, play classroom instruments, dance, improvise, and compose music
Grade 4:
One general music class and one chorus rehearsal each week
Students will participate in the following activities: sing, play classroom instruments, dance, improvise, and compose music
Students may choose to play a band or string instrument. The students will work with the instrumental teacher to choose one of the following instruments:
Orchestra: Violin, Viola, Cello, String Bass
Band: Oboe, Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, and Percussion
