    ALA Great Web Sites for Kids - This list of websites is updated on a regular basis by the ALA and contains safe and education sites for your children.
    Children's Book Council - This non-profit organization's goal is to promote the reading and enjoyment of children's literature.  This website is a wonderful place to go to for ideas of books to suggest to your child.  Check out the reading list section.
    Children's Literature Web Guide - Created by David K. Brown from The University of Calgary, this site offers parent tips and resources for all ages of children.
    Kid Source Online - This parent sponsored website provides in-depth and timely education and healthcare information that is invaluable to parents and children.
    Learning Disabilities Online - This site, sponsored by WETA-TV: the PBS station in Washington DC,  is considered one of the best in its field; providing information on learning disabilities and ADHD.
    Medline Plus - Trusted health information brought to you by the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institute of Health.
    National Parenting Center - This helpful site maintains sections titled, Parent's Corner, Articles, Chat and Seal of Approval Reports.  Their goal is to advise, support and guide parents with sound, responsible advise.
    New York State Education Department Parent Resources - This New York State site gives parents of children attending schools across New York State, information regarding all aspects of their education.
    New York State Library  -  Many electronic resources from your personal technology 
    PBS Parents - The Public Broadcasting Service provides information about your child's development from birth through the early school years.  There are lots of fun educational activities for your children to help get them ready for school.  You will also find information about your children's favorite PBS KIDS programs.
    PTA - This National Parent and Teachers Association website provides information for all parents of school aged children.
    Reading Rockets - The US Department of Education and public television bring you a website dedicated to offering information and resources for parents of young readers.
    NetSmartz  - This site is brought to you by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.  A variety of informational tools, guiding all parents, educators,  and children to safe practices while using the world wide web. new
