CONSEQUENCES

Each marking period will range between approximately 700 and 1,000 points. Your points will be made-up from the following areas.TESTS: - approximately 35%
· This includes chapter and unit testsQUIZZES: - approximately 20 %
· Announced quizzes will be given periodically. You will be given at least one-day notice.
· Pop quizzes will be given occasionally.HOMEWORK: - approximately 15%· All assignments will be gradedLABORATORY ACTIVITIES: - approximately 15%CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES AND PARTICIPATION: - approximately 15%· Notebook checks
· Mini – labs and activities

CLASSROOM PROCEDURES
ENTERING CLASSROOM:Be seated at your desk and have your materials out. Copy any information down into your notebooks that may be on the overhead or board. Look at homework assignment board and copy any new assignments down in your agenda.RETURNED WORK:The teacher or an assigned student will hand this out in the beginning of class.CLASSROOM PARTICIPATION:- Non-group work or activities – raise your hand before talking or answering question
- Group work – work together, reasonable talking is expected.

NO HOMEWORK:Homework is due the day it is assigned for. No late homework is accepted. If you do not have your homework you may get detention to stay after school to do it.BATHROOM AND LOCKERS:Go before or after class. You will not be permitted to leave the classroom unless you have medical reasons/permission.ABSENT:The partner at your table will be responsible for completing an absentee form on your behalf. It will be found in a slot marked with your class period or group. It is up to you to get the absentee form with information from your slot upon returning to school. You have 24 hours to see teacher (setting a date and time) about making up assignments, quiz, test or lab upon returning to school. If you do not contact your teacher your missing work will be considered late and follow late work procedures.END OF CLASS:Stay seated, the teacher will dismiss you.
