Assignment #1A
Posted by Carolyn Lee on 7/7/2016 6:00:00 AMPOST #1 Due July 11th
Use this post to reflect on roughly the first quarter of your reading for either What the Dog Saw or Quiet.
As we are going to have a forum with students discussing separate books, please make sure that you are clear in your post as to what exactly you are talking about—the first lesson of good writing is that it must make sense to someone who doesn’t know exactly what you do.
In your post (250 words minimum), reflect on the ideas in your reading that strike you as interesting or surprising. Think of this post as the beginning of a conversation you will continue in the reaction blog that follows.
Though we're not going to be grading you on grammar, please remember that this blog is a public forum, so proofread your worj work before posting it. We won't accept any posts that have crude language or are not considered school-appropriate (I usually use Microsoft Word to write and then cut and paste it when I'm ready.) Also, save all of your blog posts in a Word document in case something happens and your work is lost (This has never happened, but if it does, you won't have to redo everything.)
Enjoy!

Assignment #1A REACTIONS TO POSTS
Posted by Carolyn Lee on 7/6/2016 9:40:00 AMReactions for POST # 1
250 word minimum
For this post, you need to comment on the reactions of your group members. If you posted early, you may need to check back here to take part in the conversation. As you are not all reading the same book, you may want to ask questions or try and relate your reading to something that may not have occurred to you.
Avoid 'me too' or 'I liked it' responses. Respond to what people are thinking. Start an argument. Expand on their thoughts. Remember, they do not know who you are. -
