Music Theory 1
This is an every-other-day class all year long.
It fulfills 1/2 music credit and is available to students in grades 9-12.
Concepts covered include: Treble & Bass Clef, Time Signatures, Key Signatures, Major and Minor Scales, Triads/Chords and simple composition.
Music Theory 2
This is an every-other-day class all year long.
It fulfills 1/2 music credit and is available to students in grades 9-12.
Both Theory 1 & 2 are prerequisites to IB Music.
Concepts build on those contained in Music Theory 1 and include Chord Progressions, more Advanced Composition, Part-Writing, Modes and Irreguar Meters.
