Welcome to Global History Regents 9

Global History 9 is the first portion of a two year course that will introduce students to a vast array of world wide cultures in order to view events and themes in a global context.  Students will begin with the development of early man and will end the year with the defeat of Napoleon at the famous 'Battle of Waterloo.'  Global History is a mandatory two year course that every New York State high school student must successfully complete in order to graduate with a Regents diploma.  Students and parents should be aware that expectations and standards for all students have risen and students are expected to meet these higher standards presented by the State Education Department.  Upon successful completion of the Global History 9 course and the local exam students will then enroll in Global History 10 the following year.
