    Day 1

     

    The Young Democrats will be hosting Erie County Executive Mark Polancarz in the library after school on Monday, October 21st for a discussion of his role & responsibilities in county government. Everyone is welcome to attend! See Mrs. Carr in 243 with any questions.

     

    If you Do not have a school ID (all students are required) Or You did not have a school picture taken OR you do not like the school picture package that you received, please go to Picture Re-Take Day

     

    Senior Picture Day is Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 8:00-2:30. If you do not have a Senior picture for the yearbook yet, make appt. at Legacystudios.com or call 1-800-348-4360.

     

    Are you interested in trying out for the Kenmore East Cheerleading Team? Come join us for the Winter Season Cheerleading Interest Meeting, Monday October 21st at 3:00pm in the Senior Cafeteria. Grades 7th-12th, Both Female and Male are welcome!

     

    The KE Book Club is meeting Monday, October 21.

     

    The Indoor Track and Field sign-up meeting will be next Tuesday, October 22nd at 2:45 in the Cafeteria. All are welcome to attend - no experience is necessary. If you cannot make the meeting but are interested in signing up for Indoor Track, please see Mr. Ray in room 312."

     

    There will be a very brief organizational meeting for the Boys Swimming & Diving team on Tuesday October 22 at 2:30 pm in room 359.

     

    The next Improv Club meeting with be at 2:30 in room 207 on Thursday, October 24th. There will be a special guest running workshops, so bring your energy! See Ms. Giglia with any questions.

     

    The Office Club for Next week only will be moved to Wednesday. Come join and challenge a surprise staff member in Office Trivia. Where else would you rather be than in 216 on Wednesday watching the greatest show of all time.

     

    The Girls Varsity Ice hockey will be holding their first Captains Practice and sign-up meeting is November 5th 7:40pm at Lincoln Arena. Cost is $20 and meeting will follow the practice.

     

     

    Tryouts for girls basketball: Monday November 11, Tuesday November 12, Wednesday November 13, 3:30-5:50. Optional Ope ngtms: Saturday October 26, 10-11:30, Saturday November 2, 10-11:30, Wednesday November 6, 6:30-8PM, Saturday November 9,11-12:30

     

    All interested students are invited to attend a free Writing Center workshop entitled "How to Write an Outstanding College Application Essay" on Saturday, November 2 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Kenmore Middle School, Room 105.

     

    This hour-long workshop is perfect for anyone who is, or will soon, be applying for college.

     

    Participants will receive advice for writing an effective college essay, review common application writing prompts and examples of successful admissions essays, and begin drafting their own admissions essays!

    5 hour pre licensing course Tuesday October 22nd at Kenmore West room 153 call community education at 874-8500 to register. Walk ins are welcome.  You need a signed parent waiver, your permit and the cost is $44.

    Love to dance? Love to choreograph dances? Attend the first Informational Meeting for the KE Dance Club this Thursday, October 17th after school, in the New Gym. See Mrs. Louth (rm 163) or Miss Stranahan (rm 360) for additional details.

Important information will be distributed regarding physicals, costs, schedules and practices.
