Mr. Dean Johnson - Principal

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Members of the Kenmore West High School Community:

Since Kenmore West High School was built in 1938, the school has established rich traditions and maintained a strong commitment to academic excellence.  As Principal, I will continue to work diligently in providing leadership and support for students and faculty to build upon these traditions and successes at Kenmore West.

Kenmore West High School is committed to developing knowledgeable, principled, and compassionate young adults, through academic, personal, and occupational experiences, in preparation for an ever-changing global landacape.  We expect and support academic, personal, and occupational success for every student.  Our objective is to educate, prepare, and inspire all students to achieve their highest potential.

Kenmore West High School offers rigorous college and career preparatory programs and curricula in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education as well as the humanities.  Our school has the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program, a comprehensive collection of College Board Advanced Placement courses, the Project Lead the Way Pre-Engineering Program, and the Career Academies.  The school provides a dynamic student life with a comprehensive athletics program as well as clubs/activities, internships, and community and service opportunities.

Our faculty consists of highly trained and dedicated educators who are committed to providing students a rigorous learning environment to support academic excellence, student leadership, character development, and college and career readiness.

At Kenmore West High School our focus continues to be the ongoing pursuit of excellence in student learning, character development, leadership, and service to the community.  I look forward to working in partnership with students, parents, and faculty to support the educational success of all of our students.  If I can be of any assistance to you, please feel free to contact me at 716-874-8401 or by e-mail at djohnson2@ktufsd.org

Sincerely,
Dean R. Johnson
